Baby Book Scrapbook

Perhaps you’re considering making a baby book scrapbook for an adult child you have, as a memento, or maybe you’re putting one together for a friend or relative that just had a baby.

Whatever the reason, a scrapbook is the perfect way to create lasting memories and they are perfect for any budget and a way to create a keepsake that will be cherished for many years to come.

The first step in creating a memorable scrapbook is to choose what kind of album you wish to use.

Decide on the number of pages and the color that you want, all of this will play into the overall theme you are going to create.

Now the fun part begins!

Decide on your theme – will it be an ABC motif?

Or perhaps a “My First Year”?

You’re limited only by your imagination, and what colors are you going to use inside of your scrapbook?

For boys, you can mix and match blue, green, brown, yellow and orange.

If the baby book scrapbook is for a little girl, then you can choose between purple, yellow, orange or brown.

Make sure that the area you are working in and around is spacious and clean so that you will have easy access to all the photographs that you want to use.

Be sure that you’re only working on one lay out at a time since working on too many different themes at once can become confusing and turn a fun project into a frustrating one.

Assemble the background paper, the title block any photos that you’re using and then add your embellishments.

And remember to keep it simple when embellishing since too many can make a page seem cluttered and over-worked.

For the journaling aspect of the scrapbook, you may want to use your printer and print on vellum, since it will give the layout a softer look.

Finally, don’t forget about the front cover!

You can decorate the front cover of the baby book scrapbook yourself, or you can choose to use an album that already comes with a decorated cover.

It’s also a great idea to take a piece of transparency to cover any photos on the cover for protection, in case there isn’t one already.
